The following are short definitions of coverage available for your automobile

Liability:  Liability pays when you are responsible for damages or injuries resulting from an accident.  Even when you are partially at fault your policy will pay to fix the other car or someone’s medical bills.  Peace of mind means to purchase adequate coverage to protect your assets including your home, savings sand even your income.

Collision:   This simply pays to put your car back together after an accident.  Generally you choose a deductible which you are responsible to pay before the insurance co kicks in, The higher deductible you choose the cheaper the premium.

Comprehensive:   All other damage to your automobile is coffered with Comprehensive coverage. Theft, vandalism, fire, & flood are examples of perils covered. Again, you choose a deductible that you like.

Medical payments:   This pays for your medical bills regardless who is at fault in an accident.

Uninsured motorist:   If you are involved in an accident with another driver who does not carry insurance your policy can pay you for any damages the other persons company would pay. Your own medial Bills, lost wages, are good examples that can be covered.

Rental Car:   If your car is stolen or damaged in an accident, this coverage will reimburse you for the cost of a rental car.  The premium cost is minor and can really help if you need a set of wheels during those trouble times.

Towing:  This coverage will again reimburse you if you have a breakdown or loose your keys.  Ads a few dollars to a policy but can be worth it.

A few other coverage's are available such as after market stereos, or custom wheels, campers, or trailers, coverage is even available which could pay of you loan balance in the event your automobile is totaled or never recovered  from a  theft.
